I had been seeing images show up in my Facebook feed for weeks with photographer’s putting together front porch mini sessions with clients and friends and I thought it was such a great idea. However, since I didn’t live in a cute little subdivision I wondered how I’d be able to pull this off.
One afternoon I had someone (one of the lovely ladies in the photos) message me saying she had seen these photos being done and that she would definitely be interested if I put something together. After much contemplation and planning, I knew I wanted to cover a wide variety of areas but wasn’t sure how I was going to make the timing work from driving from house to house. I decided that I would open time slots on Monday for Bear Lake sessions and Tuesday for Manistee/Onekama sessions. With 20 minutes in between each session to allow me to get from place to place.
Initially, I was a little panicked. I didn’t think 20 minutes would give me the time I needed to drive around but much to my surprise I ended up actually with too much time! This was great to know for future reference if I do these again.
It was so refreshing to see all of these families and couples and get out of the apartment. ….And the photos are just so beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for better weather!
